Monday

It is the fourth day in a row of on and off rain. We freejumped the horses and they were both silly. Rod gets worried more easily than Ali, who acts like a lazy 2 year old sometimes. Dom calls him the big baby. In the afternoon we went to this indoor pool which was huge and crowded but it was fun to swim! There was everything, it was like a YMCA on steroids or something. Sauna, hot tubs, aerobics class, salt pool, sulfur pool, swim up bar, etc. We went into the sauna area, which was a combination of steamy rooms, several saunas and skin treatments. WE GOT KICKED OUT FOR WEARING BATHING SUITS! It was outrageous. I was dying. I didn't realize everyone was going to be naked until I walked in and saw it. So we headed to the Swim up bar and Dom's dad ordered us all fancy drinks. I got a "Strawberry Dream" and it was very yummy (no alcohol for those worry warts). On the way home I felt like Dom's dad was driving crazy so I decided to convert Km/hr to mph. We were going 124mph on the highway! We had dinner with the grandparents again and the grandma told me I looked like a girl who could be from the Alps. I thought that was pretty funny but it made my day. Much better than a city slicker in my mind. Thanks for all the comments! I love reading them! I miss home, but not that much. Off to bed, tired from swimming for 3 hours!!!

  1. Hey Sweat Pea,
Wish we had a big indoor pool today...it's so hot!! And the sauna and swim up bar sound like they are just the right thing for U.S. and me!! Too funny you got kicked out for wearing bathing suits, maybe next time you can go in with more confidence:)
Off to NH for the next three days for work.
Glad you are not missing home too much but we still miss you.
Hello to Dom amd his family.
    XOXO

  2. Very cool pool!!!!! When in Germany, do as the Germans do ;) I agree with Auntie Shannon... go with more confidence next time! You should definitely take looking like a mountain girl as a compliment! You're a strong horse woman!!! We just got home from Burlington. It was a great weekend!! I will post pictures on facebook. Today we had a yummy breakfast at Sneakers, then spent most of the day at North Beach. Pippa was happy to see us, as well has Tag, Greta, Angel and Grey :) Have you looked into German classes?? I miss you, but am glad you're not missing us too much :)
    Love you,
    Mom

  3. I've heard of optional nudity, but never mandatory! What a trip. It must have been hilarious walking in and seeing everyone (but yourselves) naked. 124 mph, you must have been on the Autobahn? And from what Jim's told me about it, you guys might have been the slow ones.

  4. Hi Ali
To be your age again!!! Live it up. Be a sponge and learn all you can.
I'm off to see a horse at Pam's this weekend. Mimzy and I are going on a road trip to play with the girls. Yahoo. Pam has a cute project an Andalusin. We will see.
