Pics (I hope in order... Dom's outdoor, Part of Dom's barn, Douglas at Ulla's, Ulla's indoor, Rod and Dom's mom at Ulla's)
Today Dom had 2 lessons at Ulla's barn with her assistant, Frank. I finally understood my first German sentence! "Is that working trot or collected trot?" It was really cool to see Ulla's barn, which I imagined to be a lot bigger than it is. It is pretty much in a neighborhood! The horses were both good and hopefully ready for the show Saturday.
We went to visit Dominic's Grandparents and they were really funny. They live about 10 min away at an old people home. His Grandma made some yummy cream puffs. Now we are watching Germany's Next Top Model!!!! It is almost exactly the same as America. Funny how cultures can be so similar yet so different. No disco yet! Good night!
Hey Sweet Pea,
ReplyDeleteNice pics...and yes the barn does look like it is in a neighborhood. Hope the horse show goes well this wknd!
We are going to Paradise City Arts Festival this wknd, we'll think of you! Maybe look for Christmas gifts:)
And thanks for the pic of Dom's mom. She looks like a nice lady with a happy smile:)
Still hope you are eating well.
Next time take pics of the grand parents. You know how I love Nana's:) What's German for grandmother? And she makes cream puffs! We'll have to send you a reciepe of Nana's so you can make it for them while you are there....plus show of your excellent cooking skills...that way they will fall in love with you even more:)
At least once a day Uncle Shawn and I say to each other, "We can't believe our girl is in Germany"! Keep taking lot's of pics and soaking up the language and the culture!
Miss and Love you.
Big Hugs!
XOXO
